These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the arc golf mobile application ("arc", "the app") operated by arc golf ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App
arc is a golf practice analysis tool. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial golf practice and coaching purposes. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
arc requires an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max, or an iPhone 16 or later model, running iOS 18 or later. The app does not run on the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, or earlier models — not for recording, not for replay, and not for Second Screen. AI coaching additionally requires a supported device running iOS 26 or later, with model and language availability. The optional Apple Watch app requires watchOS 26 or later. An iPad can act as a connected second screen for the capture iPhone.
Comparisons depend on camera setup, visibility, and having enough saved records. arc does not promise phone-measured ball speed, carry, or spin, or precision biomechanics. Data from a supported external launch monitor is optional and is identified by its source.
2. Account, Sync & Your Content
An arc account is required for practice recording, apart from a one-time promotional trial started from an arc promotional link, which records a limited number of swings without an account or a subscription. You can create the account with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. Internet access is required for sign-in and for online functions.
While you are signed in, your swing clips, session records, and analysis evidence synchronize automatically to our cloud storage. There is no switch in the app to turn that synchronization off while you are signed in. Local capture and replay do not make arc an account-free or fully offline service. Speech recognition may use Apple's servers when on-device recognition is unavailable for your language.
Content you create using the app — swing videos, session data — remains yours. You authorize the processing necessary to provide the features you use, including the automatic synchronization described above and any sharing you initiate. arc does not operate a model-improvement or research-contribution program, and ordinary practice use grants us no separate training license.
What each service receives, and how to delete your data, are described in our Privacy Policy and on our data deletion page. If you explicitly enable an optional external AI provider route with your own account, that provider's own terms also apply.
3. Arc+ Subscription & Billing
An active Arc+ subscription is required to start practice recording, apart from the one-time promotional trial described in Section 2. Arc+ includes practice recording, progress insights, practice plans, and coach sync. Replay of swings you have already saved, and Second Screen, do not require a subscription. If a subscription lapses mid-session, swings continue to be saved but stay hidden until an active entitlement is confirmed.
Arc+ is offered as a monthly or an annual auto-renewing subscription, and eligible new members may be offered a 3-day free trial. Whether the trial applies to you is decided by Apple at purchase. The price, billing period, and trial eligibility that apply to you are shown on the app's purchase screen and on Apple's confirmation sheet; this page does not state a price and does not promise a trial to every customer.
A free trial converts to a paid auto-renewing subscription when the trial period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged for each renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, and the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Apple handles App Store billing. Manage or cancel the subscription through the Apple Account used to purchase it: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ARC. Apple advises canceling an unwanted free or discounted trial at least 24 hours before it ends. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
Deleting the app or deleting your arc account does not cancel the Apple subscription. The subscription stays tied to the Apple Account that bought it, and it cannot be moved to a different arc account. Cancel it first if that is what you intend. Use Restore Purchases for an existing eligible purchase, and contact us if access cannot be confirmed.

4. Coaching Disclaimer
arc provides AI-generated coaching suggestions for informational purposes only. arc is not a substitute for professional golf instruction and does not provide medical advice. Coaching labels, biomechanics metrics, and swing insights are computed estimates based on camera-based pose detection and may not be accurate. Coaching is generated through Apple's Foundation Models, and Apple decides whether a given request is served on your device or by Apple's Private Cloud Compute; an optional Anthropic route runs only if you explicitly enable it with your own API key. Always consult a qualified golf professional for personalized instruction.
Speed estimates (club head speed, ball speed) are derived from pose analysis and device sensors. They are approximations and may differ from professional launch monitor measurements.
5. Intellectual Property
The app, its design, code, algorithms, and brand assets are the property of arc golf. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of the app.
Content you create using the app remains yours, as described in section 2. Beyond the processing needed to provide the features you use, you grant us no rights to your content.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Use the app to record others without their consent
- Interfere with the app's operation or security
- Use the app for commercial coaching without authorization
7. Limitation of Liability
arc is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that coaching suggestions will be accurate. Swing detection is not guaranteed for every swing or every range condition.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, arc golf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to injury during golf practice. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your market.
8. Experimental Features
Some features may be introduced gradually, changed, or removed over time. Experimental or limited-availability features may contain bugs, incomplete experiences, or inaccurate results. If you choose to use optional provider-backed or other experimental features, you acknowledge that they may evolve over time.
9. Availability, Deletion & Termination
Features depend on supported devices, permissions, available data, and service state. A saved session is not a guarantee that every clip will remain on the phone indefinitely; on-device storage limits can remove older media.
Deleting a session removes it from that device and from your practice history in the app. It does not remove the cloud copy, does not delete your account, and does not cancel a subscription. Account deletion, local cleanup, and session deletion have different scopes; they are described in the Privacy Policy and on the data deletion page.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where local law permits.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
